Hukou Township

Hukou Township extends across 58.43 square kilometers of land, making it the third largest administrative division within Hsinchu County at 120 meters elevation.

The local railway station, established in 1893 as Dahukou Station, underwent transformation in 1920 when it received its current name, marking transportation development.

The township preserves agricultural traditions through twenty distinct villages, where residents maintain connections through farming practices and local festivities.

Multiple transportation options serve the area, including regular train services at Hukou Station and bus connections operated by Hsinchu Bus Corporation.

The 542nd Armor Brigade of Taiwan's military maintains a base in Hukou, complementing the presence of the China University of Technology campus.
