Shatsk National Natural Park

The park encompasses 23 lakes within its 490 square kilometers, including Svitiaz Lake, which reaches depths of 58 meters at its deepest point.

The establishment of Shatskyi National Natural Park in December 1983 marked a commitment to protect the natural complexes of lakes, forests, and wetlands.

Local communities maintain traditional practices of harvesting forest products, including berries and mushrooms, following seasonal patterns passed through generations.

Four recreation zones provide facilities for camping, swimming, hiking, and water activities, with accommodation options ranging from tent sites to boarding houses.

During migration periods, the park's lakes host approximately 80,000 birds, creating one of Europe's largest natural gatherings of waterfowl species.
