Kamyanske

Kamyanske sits on the western bank of the Dnipro in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, home to residential neighborhoods and large industrial facilities. The city stretches along the river across several districts with wide factory grounds and housing estates.

The settlement emerged in the mid-18th century in Zaporozhian Cossack territories as two river villages grew together. During the 20th century, the town became a major Soviet metallurgy center.

The city features the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas and Roman Catholic Church of Saint Nicholas, representing different religious communities of the region.

The city divides into three districts, each with its own administration and infrastructure. Visitors find the main public buildings and shopping areas in the center.

A hydroelectric plant nearby stands on the Dnipro, shaping the riverfront with its dam structures. This construction has influenced the river and surrounding landscape for decades.
