The settlement extends along the Horyn River within the Podolsk Plateau, at an elevation of 250 meters above sea level in western Ukraine.
The land changed ownership in 1535 when Nobleman Hrytsko and Roman Senyuty sold their feudal territory to Prince Janusz, the Bishop of Vilnius.
A Jewish cemetery containing the grave of Rabbi Yechiel Michel stands as evidence of the substantial Jewish population that lived in the settlement.
The settlement connects to other regional centers through Highway H02, providing transportation links for residents and visitors traveling southeast of Kremenets.
Local farmers cultivate strawberries in the surrounding fields, taking advantage of the favorable soil conditions in the Podolsk Plateau region.
