Dubno Castle, Renaissance Revival castle in Dubno, Ukraine
The castle stands on a high bank above the Ikva River, featuring defensive walls, towers, and two main structures: the Ostroh Palace and Lubomirski Palace.
Prince Konstanty Ostrogski established the castle in 1492, initially constructing wooden buildings and earthen walls before later generations rebuilt it using stone materials.
The castle museum displays historical exhibitions, including military equipment, royal artifacts, and collections representing the noble families who resided within its walls.
The fortress opens daily for guided tours in multiple languages, with regular bus and train connections from Kyiv and Rivne making it accessible to visitors.
The castle contains an extensive network of underground vaults and galleries that provided protection during numerous sieges throughout its five-century existence.
