Hnizdychiv

Hnizdychiv extends over 5.76 square kilometers on the right bank of the Stryi River, 4 kilometers south of Zhydachiv in western Ukraine.

Prior to July 2020, Hnizdychiv belonged to Zhydachiv Raion until administrative reforms consolidated the region into the larger Stryi Raion of Lviv Oblast.

Saint Gerard Catholic Church stands as a central religious structure in Hnizdychiv, reflecting the spiritual traditions of the local community.

The settlement functions as the administrative center for Hnizdychiv settlement hromada, serving approximately 3,983 residents as of the 2022 population count.

In January 2024, Hnizdychiv underwent a status change from an urban-type settlement to a rural settlement following new Ukrainian administrative regulations.
