Zolotnyky, Village in Ternopil Raion, Ukraine
Zolotnyky is a small village in the Ternopil Raion of Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine, situated near the Strypa River. It is part of the Zolotnyky Hromada, an administrative community that also covers several nearby settlements.
The village appears in written records as far back as 1410, making it one of the older settlements in the region. Over the centuries it passed through several ruling powers, including the Austrian Empire and the West Ukrainian People's Republic, before becoming part of modern Ukraine.
The village is best explored on foot, as the roads are narrow and parking is limited. Visiting outside of harvest season tends to offer a quieter experience, when the pace of daily life in the village slows down noticeably.
The village is home to the Saint Luke church, a brick building dating to 1890 that belongs to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. It has stood at the center of village life for well over a century, serving as a gathering point for locals across many generations.
