Mohyliv-Podilskyi

Mohyliv-Podilskyi sits on the left bank of the Dniester River and connects Ukraine to Moldova through a bridge. The town functions as a regional commercial center, linked to larger Ukrainian cities by local road networks.

The city was founded in 1595 when Moldavian ruler Ieremia Movilă established it as a dowry gift for his daughter and named it after himself. This founding created a lasting settlement at the border between two regions.

The town displays religious diversity through its churches: the Polish-Armenian Church of the Visitation and the Greek St. Nicholas Church shape the urban landscape and reflect the different faith communities that have lived here.
