Velykyi Liubin

Velykyi Liubin is an urban-type settlement in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, situated south of the city with forests surrounding the area. The settlement is compact and easy to navigate, with typical residential and administrative buildings along with several religious structures.

The settlement originated in the 13th century under the name Liubyhorod and appears in Ruthenian chronicles. Over the centuries it grew and developed into an important community in the region.

The settlement is home to three different churches that reflect the religious life of residents and show how different communities coexist here. Visitors can see the wooden Greek Catholic Church, St Nicholas Orthodox Church, and the Roman Catholic Church, all of which shape the local landscape.

The area is accessible via Highway H13 and Velykyi Liubin Railway Station, making it straightforward for visitors to arrive. Those planning to visit should check local bus connections in advance, as regular services run to Lviv.
