Yaiko-Ilemske, Mountain summit in Dolynskyi district, Ukraine
Yaiko-Ilemske is a mountain summit in Dolynskyi district reaching 1,680 meters in elevation with steep northeastern slopes and gentler southeastern and northwestern aspects covered in stone fields. The varying slope angles shape the vegetation patterns and converge at the peak.
The summit has served as a natural boundary marker between neighboring communities in the Carpathian region for centuries during Ukrainian settlement patterns. This boundary function shaped relations between adjacent villages and communities across generations.
Local mountaineering groups maintain traditional hiking ceremonies at the summit, marking seasonal changes and introducing new members to mountain climbing practices.
The summit is accessible through several marked trails, with the blue-marked route from Myslivka village providing the most direct access to the peak. The climb requires mountain experience and proper equipment due to the steep slopes.
The peak features two distinct spurs, with the northwestern one descending gradually toward Dovhe Pole meadow. The southeastern spur retains remnants of an old hunting lodge, evidence of the area's former uses.
