Synyohora National Nature Park

Synyohora National Nature Park is a protected area covering roughly 10,866 hectares within Ukraine's Carpathian mountains. The landscape combines mountains, forests, and river valleys that create diverse habitats throughout the park.

The site was formerly a state residence and sanatorium before receiving official national park status in 2009. This transformation marked a shift toward conservation and environmental protection of the region.

The park functions as a place where visitors engage with nature through educational programs and exhibitions focused on local ecosystems. People come here to understand the biodiversity that defines the Carpathian region and its importance to the landscape.

The park is accessible through marked trails starting from the town of Huta, with information centers offering maps and guidance for exploration. Visitors should plan time to walk the terrain, as the landscape includes steep sections and varying elevations.

The park holds IUCN category II protected status, which safeguards multiple rare and threatened species found in the Carpathian mountains. This designation places it among the world's most important nature conservation sites according to international standards.
