Fredro Palace in Vyshnia, Renaissance palace in Vishnia, Ukraine.
Fredro Palace is a Renaissance residence in Vyshnia with balanced proportions and classical details throughout. Its facade displays fine stone carvings and geometric patterns, while the building contains multiple rooms arranged around courtyards.
The residence was built in the late 1700s when Polish nobleman Aleksander Fredro commissioned it as his home. Over time the property changed hands and went through different uses, particularly during the 20th century.
The rooms inside show how Polish nobility lived, with the Blue Hall displaying original decorations and furnishings. Visitors can see how spaces were used for gatherings and daily life, giving a sense of what it was like to inhabit this residence.
The palace sits about 50 kilometers southwest of Lviv along the road toward Sambor and is accessible by car. Since the building is undergoing restoration work, visitors should check ahead to see which areas are open to view.
In 2018, architecture students from Krakow Polytechnic conducted a detailed cataloguing of the building's structure and the surrounding park. This documentation project created a valuable record that now helps guide restoration efforts at the site.
