Balmoral Castle is a large estate house in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The castle has been one of the residences for members of the British Royal Family since 1852.
It is an example of Scots Baronial architecture and is classified by Historic Environment Scotland as a category A listed building.
The castle grounds, gardens, exhibitions, gift shop and cafe are open to the public.
Balmoral is a private property of the monarch and not part of the Crown Estate.
