Osborne House, Royal residence in England
Osborne House is a former royal residence in East Cowes, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom.
The house was built between 1845 and 1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat.
Designed in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo, the Osborne House reflects Victoria and Albert's passions, tastes, and style.
Today, it's managed by English Heritage and is open to the public.
Osborne House holds the first purpose-built royal nursery and the private beach where Queen Victoria's children learned to swim.
