The Metropolitan Life North Building, also known as Eleven Madison, is a 30-story Art Deco skyscraper in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, New York City.
Originally planned to be the world's tallest building at 100 stories, The Great Depression severely scaled back the design to 30 stories.
In popular culture, it has been featured in several films such as Superman and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
Today it is predominantly used as office spaces, housing major companies like Credit Suisse.
This building’s massive base takes up an entire city block.
