Argyle International Airport, International airport in Saint George, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Argyle International Airport is a commercial aviation hub located in Saint George that serves as the primary entry point for visitors and residents to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The facility includes two terminal buildings with dining options, retail spaces, and infrastructure designed to handle regular international flight operations.
This airport opened in 2017 and replaced the older E.T. Joshua Airport as the primary air gateway for the islands. The project represented a major investment in modernizing the nation's aviation infrastructure after years of planning and construction.
The terminals feature 23 commercial spaces offering local products, three restaurants serving Caribbean cuisine, and multiple kiosks representing regional merchants.
The airport sits close to Saint George and provides convenient parking and clear signage for travelers. Navigation through the terminals is straightforward, and facilities are designed to accommodate passengers with luggage and special needs.
This facility stands as the second international airport in the Caribbean to operate with solar power, following the example of V.C. Bird International Airport.
