Fansipan, Highest mountain in Vietnam

Fansipan's summit was first reached in 1905 by a French expedition.
The area around Fansipan is rich in cultural diversity, home to several ethnic minority groups.
A cable car system was opened in 2016, making the summit accessible without a strenuous trek.
The Fansipan weather station at the peak is one of the few meteorological stations located above 3,000 meters in Southeast Asia.
