Tesse, lake in Norway
Tesse is a reservoir in Lom Municipality and Vågå in the Innlandet region of Norway. It covers about twelve square kilometers and is ringed by mountains and forests, with water that reflects the surrounding landscape and changes with the seasons.
The lake has been part of the landscape for many centuries and was traditionally used by local people for fishing and as a freshwater source. Over time it remained a quiet waterway woven into the rhythm of surrounding villages and farms.
The lake is easily accessible with spots for walking and fishing along the shores. Visitors can come during any season, with summer suited for small boats and picnicking while winter sometimes offers frozen water for skating.
The water is so clear that it mirrors the sky and surrounding mountains perfectly, creating different impressions as light changes throughout the day. This optical quality makes each visit feel different depending on the time and weather conditions.
