Cromeleque da Portela de Modos, Megalithic complex in Portugal
The Cromeleque da Portela de Mogos is an impressive megalithic monument.
This site dates back to the Neolithic period, between 5000 and 4000 BCE.
It reflects the ceremonial practices of prehistoric communities in the Iberian Peninsula.
The complex is located near the town of Nisa, in Alentejo region.
Consists of several stone circles and menhirs with symbolic engravings.
