Sete Fontes, Baroque aqueduct system in São Victor, Braga, Portugal.
The Sete Fontes consists of fourteen underground galleries connected by stone structures featuring cylindrical chambers and vaulted domes spanning 3,500 meters.
Built between 1744 and 1752 under Archbishop D. José de Bragança, this water system supplied Braga with fresh water until 1929.
The hydraulic engineering from the 18th century combines with architectural elements that display coats of arms from distinguished Portuguese patrons.
The site connects to public paths near the Escola de Ciência Médicas and Braga Hospital, with designated walking routes throughout the 90-hectare complex.
Despite its name meaning Seven Springs, only six water sources remain after one spring was removed in the 1990s for residential development.
