Shamanka Rock, Headland in Russia
Shamanka Rock, also known as Cape Burkhan, is a striking natural landmark on Olkhon Island in Lake Baikal.
The site is associated with various legends and was once a sacral place for the local Buryat people.
Shaman Rock is considered one of the nine most sacred places in Asia.
Visitors can reach Shamanka by traveling to Olkhon Island, the largest island in Lake Baikal.
There are two small caves in the rock that are significant sites for shamanic rituals.
