George Seaton's hunting lodge is a ruined two-story building sitting on Hyltenäs hill with remaining stone walls and traces of its former garden layout. The exterior displays brick construction on the lower floor and half-timbered design on the upper story, revealing how it was originally built.
A wealthy merchant from Gothenburg hired architect Karl Severin Hansson to build this hunting lodge starting in 1915. A chimney fire in 1923 destroyed the entire interior structure, though the exterior walls survived the flames.
The lodge incorporated various architectural elements, combining brick construction on the first floor with half-timbered designs on the second level.
The ruins sit within a nature reserve of about 61 hectares and can be reached via marked walking trails throughout the grounds. Wear sturdy shoes since the paths are natural terrain and the ruins themselves have uneven surfaces to walk on.
