Grenna Museum

Grenna Museum comprises two sections: the Polarcenter displaying artifacts from polar expeditions, and Franckska Gården showcasing local craftsmanship and heritage. The building houses multiple exhibition spaces that document the region's past.

The museum preserves items from a 1897 polar expedition when a explorer attempted to reach the North Pole by balloon, with remains discovered only in 1930. This polar history forms the core of the collection.

The town gained its reputation through handcrafted candy making, especially the red and white striped lollipops produced by local makers for generations. These traditional sweets remain deeply connected to the town's identity and character.

The building sits in the town center and is easy to reach on foot, with clear signs for both exhibition sections. Plan for two to three hours to explore both areas comfortably.

A dedicated computer station allows visitors to connect with ongoing Arctic research projects and view current expedition data. This connection merges historical exploration with present-day polar science in one space.
