Gothic tower

The Gothic tower is a stone structure with a square base and pointed arches characteristic of medieval architecture in Central Europe. It stands in the park as a self-contained building featuring decorative details from the medieval period.

The tower originated in the early 15th century as part of a Franciscan church. An earthquake in 1897 damaged its upper section, which was later relocated to its present position in the park.

The tower serves as a gathering place in the park where people meet and photographers regularly capture wedding photos throughout the year. On warm days, visitors can be seen sitting nearby and enjoying the surroundings.

The tower is accessible to visitors at all times and is located near several bus stops. It is easy to explore the area on foot and reach the site from the city center.

The original upper section of this medieval tower was separated after the 1897 earthquake and later repurposed as a garden pavilion. This transformation is uncommon and shows how the structure was adapted for new purposes.
