Radničné námestie, Medieval pedestrian square in Bardejov, Slovakia
The rectangular Radničné námestie extends 260 meters in length and 80 meters in width, featuring 46 medieval houses along three sides of the plaza.
The square emerged as a commercial center during medieval times when Bardejov received special privileges to host regular markets and trading fairs.
The Gothic Church of St. Egidius and Renaissance Town Hall stand as architectural elements that define the northern section of Radničné námestie.
Multiple banks, shops, cafes, and restaurants line the square, while the Tourist Information Center provides guidance for visitors exploring the area.
The 2002 reconstruction preserved medieval architectural details while incorporating modern amenities, establishing a functional pedestrian zone in the UNESCO site.
