The church was initially constructed around 1280 as a three-nave structure, with significant Gothic modifications completed during the second half of the 15th century.
The church houses a Renaissance pulpit from 1523 and a baptismal font with a polygonal basin from the medieval period.
Visitors can access the church during regular hours, with extended opening times during religious services and community gatherings throughout the year.
Archaeological excavations in 2004 revealed a tomb containing ducats of Sigismund of Luxembourg, connecting the church to medieval royal patronage.
