The park contains walking paths, a pond with a floating fountain, a gazebo, and several recreational areas for sports and leisure activities.
Established in the 1860s, the park replaced city meadows and mineral water baths, connecting the city center with the railway station.
The Swiss-style pavilion from 1857 was constructed for the imperial couple Franz Joseph I and Elisabeth of Bavaria during their visit.
The park remains open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering free admission and parking facilities for all visitors.
The Villa Sandy building, designed by Julius Sandy in 1909, functions as a skating and tennis pavilion within the park grounds.
