Singhanakhon

Singhanakhon is an administrative district in Songkhla Province, situated near Thailand's Gulf coast. The region comprises numerous villages and smaller communities linked by local roads, reflecting the agricultural character typical of southern Thailand.

The district was separated from Mueang Songkhla in 1988 and received its official status three years later. This administrative reorganization reflected broader regional governance changes in southern Songkhla Province.

Each of the eleven tambons maintains its own administrative organization, preserving local traditions and managing community development within their boundaries.

The area lies in southern Thailand and is best reached through connections from Hat Yai or Songkhla town. Visitors should expect warm, humid weather and use local transport options to explore the scattered villages across the district.

The territory includes significant water bodies with the Gulf of Thailand to the east and both Thale Luang and Songkhla Lake in close proximity.
