Sukhothai Historical Park

The ruins of ancient temples, monuments, and palaces extend across 70 square kilometers within earthen walls of the former Thai capital.

The site functioned as Thailand's first capital during the 13th century before the Ayutthaya Kingdom gained control in the late 14th century.

The temples demonstrate the evolution of architectural styles, combining Buddhist and Hindu elements through detailed sculptures and traditional stupas.

Visitors can access five distinct zones of the park using bicycles, with individual zone tickets costing 100 baht or a complete day pass for 350 baht.

The Ramkhamhaeng National Museum displays numerous artifacts from the period when Thai script originated under King Ramkhamhaeng's leadership.
