National Science Museum

National Science Museum, Science museum in Khlong Hok Subdistrict, Thailand

The National Science Museum is a six-story facility housing exhibits about physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science. The galleries feature interactive displays and multimedia presentations that let visitors engage directly with the subject matter.

The museum was founded in 1992 to honor Queen Sirikit's fifth cycle birthday and her work in advancing science and technology throughout the country. This origin shows how the nation committed to making science more central to people's lives.

The sixth floor displays traditional Thai technologies and local inventions that reveal scientific principles in daily practices throughout the country. You can see how communities have applied scientific thinking to their work and surroundings over time.

Plan to spend several hours exploring since each floor covers different scientific areas and the interactive displays need your active participation. Wear comfortable shoes because you will be moving between galleries and exhibits throughout the building.

The building stands out because of its distinctive cube-shaped design that makes it instantly recognizable among other structures. Inside, a 4D theater uses multiple senses to show scientific concepts in action.
