Popov Castle, Gothic Revival castle in Vasylivka, Ukraine.
The castle features a four-story main building surrounded by five towers, three wings, stables, and multiple observation points spread across its territory.
General Vasily Popov initiated the construction of this Gothic Revival estate in 1864, employing architect Alexander Ageyenko to design the grand residence.
The estate contained an extensive library, weapon collection, and art gallery displaying works from renowned painters before the 1917 revolution changed its destiny.
The castle complex now operates as a museum with exhibitions about local history, ethnography, and World War II in its preserved western wing.
The building materials for the entire castle complex came from local sources, including a fourth-floor observatory platform equipped with a telescope.
