Gregynog Hall

Gregynog Hall is a country house with Victorian black and white architecture set within a 750-acre estate featuring formal gardens and ancient woodland paths. The building operates as a conference center and events space, providing access to walking trails through surrounding nature reserves.

The estate passed through the Morris family in the 18th century before becoming home to the Davies sisters, who transformed it into a hub for art collection and cultural patronage. Their influence shaped the property as a center for artistic and literary activity during the 20th century.

The hall houses a library of publications from the Gregynog Press alongside collections of paintings, sculpture, and rare books gathered by its former residents. These collections reflect the deep commitment of past owners to supporting artists and writers.

The Great Wood harbors oak trees over 300 years old alongside a lichen species found nowhere else in Wales. This ecological combination makes the woodland valuable for those interested in natural history.
