Dinosaur State Park and Arboretum

The 80-acre natural preserve contains a 55,000-square-foot geodesic dome that protects 500 dinosaur tracks from the Early Jurassic period.

Construction workers discovered the fossil trackway in 1966, leading to the establishment of the park and its designation as a National Natural Landmark in 1968.

The educational center provides programs for students and families about paleontology, geology, and environmental science through interactive exhibits and guided tours.

The park grounds and nature trails remain open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, while the Exhibit Center operates Tuesday through Sunday with paid admission.

Visitors can create their own fossil replicas through track casting activities and search for minerals at the dedicated mining station from May to October.
