The stadium features a seating capacity of 18,264 spectators, with outfield fences measuring 8 feet high and field dimensions of 315 feet in left and 399 feet in center.
Built in 1962, the stadium honors Hiram Bithorn, who made history as the first Puerto Rican baseball player in Major League Baseball with the Chicago Cubs in 1942.
The stadium displays retired jersey numbers of Puerto Rican baseball legends, including Roberto Clemente (#21), Ruben Gomez (#22), and Orlando Cepeda (#30) on its walls.
The playing surface transitioned from natural grass to Astroturf in 1995, then underwent another change to FieldTurf in 2004 to enhance field performance.
From 2003 to 2004, the Montreal Expos selected this stadium as their part-time home field, hosting twenty-two Major League Baseball games each season.
