The arena hosts the Grand Rapids Griffins hockey team, the Grand Rapids Gold basketball team, and numerous national touring concert performances throughout the year.
The facility includes 9,886 permanent seats, premium club sections, luxury suites, and retractable seating systems to accommodate different event configurations.
The Grand Rapids Rise professional volleyball team will start playing their matches at Van Andel Arena from January 2024, adding a new sport to the venue.
