Mount Carmel Cemetery is a Catholic burial ground in Hillside, Illinois, that covers 214 acres (86 hectares). More than 226,000 burial sites and 400 family mausoleums line the curved paths across the property.
The cemetery opened in 1901 to serve Catholic parish members in Chicago. It remained independently managed until 1965, when operations merged with Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
