Bartram's Garden, Botanical garden and historic landmark in Southwest Philadelphia, United States.

The 50-acre garden extends along the Schuylkill River, containing historical buildings, meadows, fields, and a collection of native plant species.

John Bartram established this garden in 1728, becoming the first botanical garden in America and receiving royal recognition as King's Botanist in 1765.

The garden maintains the Sankofa Community Farm, which produces fresh local food through African Diaspora agricultural practices and community involvement.

Visitors can access the garden daily at 5400 Lindbergh Boulevard, participating in activities like fishing, birdwatching, and walking along the river trail.

The garden preserves the Franklinia alatamaha tree, which became extinct in the wild in 1803 and exists today only through Bartram's propagation efforts.
