Architect Pedro Adolfo de Castro completed this building in 1934, which gained recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The building serves as headquarters for Spanish descendants in Puerto Rico, maintaining traditions through community gatherings and educational programs.
Located on Avenida de La Constitución, the building measures 119 feet wide by 158 feet long with a central courtyard of 51 by 85 feet.
The entrance fountain replicates the design from the Patio de los Leones at La Alhambra in Granada, Spain.
