The Church of the Holy Family stands as a Gothic brick structure designed by architect A.F. Wasielewski at 307 Adams Avenue in Eveleth, Minnesota.
Built in 1909 for Eveleth's Slovene American congregation, the church gained recognition as one of four national Slovenian churches in the United States by 1904.
The dedication ceremony in May 1910 drew thousands of participants who formed a procession extending through seventeen blocks of the city streets.
In 1978, the church merged with St. Patrick's and Immaculate Conception Churches to establish a unified congregation under the name Resurrection Church.
Monthly services in the initial wooden structure, established in 1899, were conducted by Father Mathias Bilban, who spoke Slovenian fluently to serve immigrant mine workers.
