Coventry Parish Ruins, Episcopal church ruins in Somerset County, Maryland, United States.
The remaining three brick walls of Coventry Parish stand in farmland near the Pocomoke River, measuring 76 feet by 56 feet in their original dimensions.
The Episcopal congregation constructed this Flemish bond brick church between 1785 and 1788, utilizing materials from an older dismantled church in the vicinity.
This structure served as one of the 30 original Anglican parishes established in 1692 when Maryland officially supported the Church of England.
The site underwent preservation work in 1928 and 2005, with the ruins now maintained as a National Register of Historic Places monument since 1984.
The church was the largest Episcopal structure on Maryland's Eastern Shore during its time, featuring ten arches in its architectural design.
