Johann Nepomuk Müller established the brewery in 1824, which later underwent significant expansion under the Lehn family ownership starting from 1841.

The facility served as a center for brewing education through its partnership with Waldegg vocational school, introducing programs like Bierjung and Biersommelier.

Direct beer sales occur during scheduled Hofverkauf events every two weeks, with additional special openings during major events like Euro 2024.

The brewery received gold awards at the DLG Beer Competition from 2002 to 2005 under the guidance of diploma brewers Hommel and Brand.
