Hohe Kugel

Hohe Kugel rises to 1,645 meters in elevation within the Bregenz Forest Mountains, presenting different trails through forest paths and alpine meadows.

The mountain paths of Hohe Kugel developed through centuries as traditional routes connecting Alpine communities in the Vorarlberg region of western Austria.

Local mountaineering clubs maintain the network of trails and organize regular group excursions to preserve the mountain hiking traditions of Vorarlberg.

Multiple hiking routes lead to the summit from Fraxern, with the main trail starting at the sports field parking area and covering 9.8 kilometers.

The summit provides a rare vantage point where visitors can simultaneously view four countries: Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Liechtenstein.
