The German Wehrmacht constructed this military facility in 1938, and after World War II, the Red Army units occupied the premises until 1955.
The complex bears the name of Admiral Wilhelm von Tegetthoff, commemorated by a memorial stone that remains on the property.
Following its closure in 2005, the Austrian Settlement Association acquired the property in 2012 and transformed it into residential apartments.
The facility served as the home base for the patrol boat squadron, which included vessels such as the Patrol Boat Oberst Brecht and Gunboat Niederösterreich.
