Leopoldsberg, Mountain summit in Vienna, Austria

The Leopoldsberg rises 425 meters above sea level at the northeastern corner of the Alps, forming a natural barrier along the Danube River.

The summit served as a strategic meeting point for Polish-Austrian forces during the Second Siege of Vienna in 1683, marking a turning point in European history.

The Saint Leopold Church, constructed in 1679 and expanded between 1718 and 1730, stands at the peak as a testament to religious architecture.

Visitors can reach the summit via bus line 38A from Nußdorf, which operates regular services throughout the day along the Kahlenbergerstraße.

The mountain exhibits distinct vegetation patterns, with beech forests on the northern slope and former vineyards on the southern side.
