Schloss Tannbach, Protected heritage château in Gutau, Austria

The castle features a rectangular three-story structure with four corner turrets, each topped with onion domes and decorative lanterns at the ends.

First documented around 1400 as a noble residence, the castle underwent significant modifications between 1873 and 1878 under cartographer Joseph von Scheda's ownership.

The castle represents the architectural transition from Renaissance to Historical style, incorporating curved gables, mansard roofs, and symmetrical design elements.

The privately owned castle allows exterior viewing only, situated directly on the Castle and Palace Trail and the Gutauer Nordic Walking Course.

The rear entrance of the castle requires access via a masonry base due to the lower terrain level behind the structure.
