Pfarrkirche St. Corona am Wechsel

Pfarrkirche St. Corona am Wechsel is a stone building with three bays and barrel vaults whose ceilings date from the seventeenth century and feature decorative elements. The interior shows the craftsmanship of that era with vaulted spaces that draw the eye upward.

The site belonged to Kirchberg convent from 1272 onward, with an initial wooden chapel built in 1583 and consecrated in 1591. The stone building that exists today developed from this earlier foundation and has shaped the religious character of the region since then.

The church bears the name of Saint Corona and continues to draw pilgrims seeking this destination today. Visitors can directly experience the religious meaning of the place through how the space is designed and used.
