Angelika Kauffmann Museum, Local museum in Schwarzenberg, Austria
The Angelika Kauffmann Museum occupies a renovated agricultural wing of the Kleberhaus, featuring 220 square meters of exhibition space with untreated silver fir wood.
Built in 1556, the Kleberhaus underwent careful modifications by architect Helmut Dietrich to transform the former farmhouse into a museum space in 2007.
The museum displays rotating collections of artworks by Angelika Kauffmann, an 18th-century painter who created the apostle frescoes in Schwarzenberg's Baroque church.
Located at Brand 34 in Schwarzenberg, the museum includes a local history section documenting farming traditions from the 18th and early 19th centuries.
The building combines preserved dark log walls and old tie beams with modern steel girders, creating a display environment that merges historical and contemporary elements.
