Island of Bryan, Television program in South Andros, Bahamas
Island of Bryan is a television series about renovating an abandoned resort on South Andros in the Bahamas. The Baeumler family transforms the former Emerald Palms property into a working hotel with guest rooms and private villas.
The property remained closed from 2011 until construction began in March 2018. The finished resort received the new name Caerula Mar Club.
The television series presents interactions between the Canadian family and local Bahamian contractors, displaying construction methods and regional traditions.
The resort now welcomes guests in 18 hotel rooms and six separate villa units along the coast. The property works with environmental practices to protect the natural surroundings.
The first four episodes reached record ratings for HGTV Canada and became the most watched programs in the network's first ten years. The episodes show how a large renovation unfolds under tropical conditions.
