Ermita dels Peixets

The Ermita dels Peixets is a Gothic Revival chapel in Alboraia with a rectangular structure and a facade divided into three sections separated by buttresses and decorated with pinnacles. Inside, it houses a ceramic panel above the high altar depicting a historical religious event.

Built in 1901, this chapel was constructed based on a 14th-century account of fishermen discovering consecrated hosts in fish after a priest fell into the Carraixet River. The alleged miracle inspired its creation as a religious memorial site.

The chapel serves as a gathering place during annual celebrations ten days after Pentecost, when locals come together for processions, religious services, and shared meals. It remains woven into the rhythm of community life in the village.
