Utiel

Utiel is a municipality in Valencia Province situated at around 720 meters elevation in a landscape dominated by vineyards and agricultural fields. The town spreads across a large area where wine production remains the primary economic activity.

The area developed as a settlement with strong territorial ties, and in 1851 underwent a major administrative shift when it transferred from Cuenca Province to Valencia Province. This change integrated the region permanently into Valencia's administrative framework.
